Nan Collier

Nan was the daughter of Emmett F. and Amanda Tyler Collier. Following graduation from Penelope High School, she moved to Dallas. In 1962 she moved to Fort Worth where she was a dedicated sales representative for the Campbell Paper Company for 33 years before retiring in 1996. When Nan began her career there were few women in sales and practically none in the paper industry. Only by the code of the three D?s - Desire, Determination, and Dedication - did Nan survive the tough, early years. Nan loved to travel and share stories of her adventures with others. She played on several championship basketball teams in her early years, including the Queens of Basketball, Bell Cleaners, and NuGrape. The friendships made on those teams were a treasure to her. She also loved to tell jokes and had a distinguishable laugh which will not soon be forgotten. Often her feet would come off the floor with her head thrown back to laugh. She also loved to tease her family and friends. Nan was an extremely competitive person which no doubt helped her in her career and in her basketball years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth. Survivors include: 3 Nieces -Patsy Milrany and husband, Lary of Fort Worth; Claudia Day and husband, Reg, of Arlington; and Janice Morgan of Fort Worth. 3 Nephews - Randy Bartholomew of San Antonio; Kent Bartholomew and wife, Debi, of Houston; and Kerry Bartholomew of Austin. 10 Great Nieces and Nephews - Chad Morgan; Mark Milrany; Mindi Milrany Neilson; Darrell and Regena Day; and Taylor, Clay, Courtney, Brandon, and Kolby Bartholomew.
