Nancie Compton Walker of Fort Worth passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011, in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Robert Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Nancie was born in Hillsboro to Raymond and Oleta (Everett) Compton. On June 27, 2002 she married Carthol Walker in Iowa. She was a teacher for many years, retiring in January 2002.

She was a member of Calvary Cathedral International in Fort Worth. A very loyal Christian lady, Nancie loved telling the good news of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was always ministering to other people, even in her hard times while she was on dialysis three times a week. She touched the many lives she came into contact with. Talking on the phone with her sister is what she enjoyed doing.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Jacky Compton; and half sister, Frances Elaine Compton.

Survivors include her husband, Carthol Walker of Peoria; brother, Tommy Compton of Fort Worth; sister, Bobbie Compton Avila and husband, Joe, of Fort Worth; aunt, Dellaphine Reed of Peoria; and uncle A. L. Everett of Los Angles, CA.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Cathedral International, 1701 Oakhurst Scenic Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76111.
