Nancy Delores (Wooten) Harris

Nancy Dolores Wooten Harris, age 79, of Montgomery, Texas passed away on August 19, 2021.  A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Peoria Cemetery with Ray Clopton officiating. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the Fellowship of Montgomery, 12681 FM 149, Montgomery, Texas.

Nancy was born on April 7, 1942, to Lonnie Lee, Jr. and Edith Mozelle Wooten in Hillsboro, Texas. Nancy married Travis James Harris on January 25, 1957, in Cleburne, Texas. She and Travis had one son, James Dale Harris. Nancy started her career life as a dental assistant and retired from work with the Montgomery Independent School District. She was a devoted Christian and member of Fellowship of Montgomery. Nancy loved teaching Bible study to children for over 30 years. Sewing was Nancy's favorite hobby, and she continued to sew until her passing.

Nancy's biggest passion was her family, who referred to Nancy as the "Family Encyclopedia" because of her knowledge of family history and facts. Nancy was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She never met a stranger, and she will be missed by many.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Theda Lambert; and nephews, Donnie Neagle and Ricky Neagle.

Nancy is survived by her son, James Dale Harris and wife Linda; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Justin and Kristen Rahmn and family Kallie, Taylor and Jozey, Jared Rahmn, Gina and family Marissa, Alex, and Cayden, Michael and Caroline Rahmn and family Catherine and Matthew; sister, Ronnee Neagle; brother, Lonnie Wooten, III; nieces and nephews, Sheila Beims, Angela and Roy Caldwell, Nancy and Tim Williams, Ronnie and Chanti Wooten, and Ryan Wooten; great nieces and nephews, Josh Beims and fiancé Kamille, Gracie and Raylee Whittington, Holly Williams, Kerri Neagle, Braelyn, Brooklyn, Donnie Trey, Jessica and Xavier Wooten and Ashley and Brianna Caldwell; as well as numerous other extended family and friends.
