Nancy June Lehmann, 74, of Whitney, passed away on July 26, 2017, in Whitney. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2017, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney with, Rev. Eddie Booth, Rev. Phillip Wottrich and Pastor Roger West officiating. Burial will follow at Whitney Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Nancy was born on February 7, 1943, in Whitney, to Sherman “Sob” and Viola (Cypert) Wallace. A lifelong resident of Whitney, she graduated from Whitney High School in 1961. She was voted most athletic in her class and for many years held the woman’s basketball scoring record.

On June 26, 1964, she married Harold Lehmann and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2005. She was a lab technician at the Whitney Clinic for over 25 years. A charter member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Whitney, she was also very active in the Whitney Memorial Park Cemetery Association. She enjoyed cross stitching, watching the Rangers and the Cowboys.

Also preceding was her brother, Gaylord “Hammer” Wallace.

Survivors include her son, Lance Lehmann of Whitney; sisters, Mary Schwanke and husband, Glenn of Moody, Delores Kay Sanders and husband, Tim of Stephenville and Shirley Adams and husband, Bob of Whitney; grandson, Brendan Lehmann of Fort Worth; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whitney Memorial Park, P.O. Box 889, Whitney, TX 76692.
