Nancy Lyday, 62, of Hewitt, formerly of Whitney passed away on July 22, 2011 in a Waco hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Whitney with Rev. Wade Yarbro officiating.Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, July 25,2011 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.
Nancy was born September 26, 1948 in Dallas to Henry and Vivian (Warren) Richardson. She grew up in the Dallas area where she graduated from high school. On May 26, 1967, she married Bobby Lyday and they moved to Whitney in 1969. Nancy worked as office manager in the real estate office at White Bluff for 8 years. She liked camping around lakes where she enjoyed boating and loved the ocean. Arts and crafts were her favorite hobbies. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Bobby Lyday on October 17, 2010; sister, Lillian; and brothers, Lewis, Raymond, Kenneth, and Franklin.
Nancy is survived by her children, Bryan Lyday and wife, Tonya of China Spring and Tina Jones and husband, Scott of Hewitt; brothers, Donald Richardson and wife, Sandy of Allen, TX and Bobby Richardson of Grand Saline; six grandchildren, Garrett, Gabrielle, Hunter, Emiel, Eric and Ashley; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services are under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, Texas.
