Nancy Steele

Nancy Steele, 65, of Hillsboro passed away Monday morning, January 9, 2017, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Pastor Jo Ramsey of First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, at the funeral home.

Nancy was born May 16, 1951 in Hillsboro to Jack and Winona (Grant) Neal. She grew up in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School. On December 1, 1973, she was united in marriage to Sammy Steele. A devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and aunt, “Nan-Nan” loved being with her family. They were her whole life. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding her in death were her father, Jack Neal.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Sammy Steele of Hillsboro; mother, Winona Neal of Hillsboro; two sons, Scott Steele and wife, Rebel, and Greg Steele and wife, Michelle, both of Hillsboro; three brothers, Steve Neal and wife, Patricia, of Rosenburg, Jackie Neal and wife, Carole, of Hillsboro, and Bob Neal and wife, Claudia, of Austin; five grandchildren, Cameron Steele of London, England, Carsyn Talamantez of College Station, and Luke Steele, Grant Steele, and Jackson Steele, all of Hillsboro.
