Nelda Burt

Nelda Dennis Burt, 85, of Blanton passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2019, at the Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Texas with Pastor Bryan Donahoo officiating. Visitation will be held starting at 1 p.m. Friday at the church prior to service time.

Nelda was born June 29, 1933 in May, Texas to Grover Cleveland Dennis and Maud Elizabeth (Killion) Dennis. She was united in marriage to Frank Burt on May 30, 1954. She was an avid reader and a active member of the Whitney Library Book Club. Her family was her world and she loved them unconditionally. Nelda was an amazing homemaker, and enjoyed sewing and quilting. Her favorite flower was the Iris. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her siblings, Tommy Dennis, Marshall Dennis, Auline Dennis, Evelyn Campbell, Truett Dennis, Travis Dennis, and Rwayne Dennis.

Survivors include her spouse, Frank Burt of Blanton; children, Elizabeth Ward of Carrollton, Bryan Keith Burt and wife Stephanie of Dillon, CO, and John David Burt and Becky Hale-Encizo of Buena Vista, CO; grandson, Lucas Ward and wife Kelly of Lakewood, CO; granddaughter, Breanne Ward of Carrollton; 2 great-grandsons, Lincoln Ward and Bennett Ward of Lakewood, CO.
