Nellie Falkenberg

Nellie Falkenberg, 81, of Hillsboro died Monday, June 1, 2009, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Nellie was born June 8, 1927 in Penelope, Texas the daughter of T. Cobble and Ila Mae Hudgins Christian. She grew up in Birome and graduated from Abbott High School. On November 21, 1946 she married Roland Falkenberg in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1989. For over 20 years, she was a teacher at the Mexia State School. She was a wonderful homemaker and an excellent seamstress. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Whitney. Also preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include her son, Rex Falkenberg of Hillsboro; sister-in-law, Inez Sauer of Roscoe; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
