Nellie Rape

Mrs. Rape was born February 21, 1918 in Childress, Texas to James and Eliza Mason Taylor. On June 18, 1939 she married Carthol Edward Rape in Wichita Falls, Texas. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception in 1989. Carthol preceded her in death in 1992. She resided in Waco until moving to Hemet, California in 1997. She was a member of Timber Crest Baptist Church in Waco for many years, and was very active in Sunday School and Timberliners. She was a wonderful cook and was a favorite aunt of all her nieces and nephews. She was loved by her many friends and will be greatly missed. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Mack Taylor and Howard Taylor; and three sisters, Ethel, Johnnie and Sue. Survivors include her son, Gary Lynn and wife Mary of Hemet, CA, one brother, Ted Taylor of Garland, one sister, two grandchildren, Shelly Brooks of Hemet, CA and Darla BoisJolie of Oceanside, CA, and four great grandchildren.
