Memorial Services for Nicky Lyne York will be held on September 10, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in West.

After an extended illness of several years, Nicky Lyne York, age 62, of Aquilla passed away Sunday afternoon, the 28th of August, 2011 at the Whitney Medical Center in Whitney. He had been a resident of this area for the past 30 years. He was a horticulturist and lover of flowers and plants, and in the past had been a partner in a landscape nursery.

Nicky is survived by his mother, Jaunice York, his sister, Lari Niles and husband Tom, both of West; his partner, Tommy Hoover of Aquilla; a nephew, Steven Stoermer, and wife, Sandy of West; a niece, Stacy Bartosh of Grandview; three great-nephews, Dylan and Daylon Bartosh and Stevie Stoermer; one great-niece, Kynlee Bartosh, and two aunts, Billie Johnson and Dorothy Jones, both of Tyler.
