Norah Wohlwend

Norah was born March 22, 1912 in Aquilla, Texas to William Dallas and Sarah Ann Herod Moore. Growing up in Waco and she attended public school and 4C Business College there. She worked for A&N Cotton Company and Katy Railroad Credit Union before going to work for 17 years at the U. S. Railroad Retirement Board, retiring in 1974. In 1974 she relocated to Hillsboro. On September 5, 1964 She married John F. Wohlwend, a Waco policeman, and he preceded her in death on August 11, 1982. Also preceding her in death were her parents, four sisters, and three brothers. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Survivors include a niece, Marilynn Deatherage and husband, Lavon, of Mesquite and many great-nieces and nephews.
