Norma J. Comer, 69 of Whitney passed away on February 20, 2012 in Hillsboro.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2012 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Norma was born on April 4, 1942 in Bradford, Arkansas to William and Montine (Humphrey) Davidson. She lived in Arkansas until her marriage to Robert E. Comer in 1964 and they were married for 47 years. Norma graduated from North Little Rock in 1959 and attended college at Arkansas State Teacher College. She and Robert traveled and lived all over the United States until moving to Whitney in 1978.
She was an avid supporter of many charities and enjoyed gardening. She was of the Catholic faith. Spoiling her grandchildren was her greatest love.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her husband, Bob of Whitney; mother, Montine McDonnell and step-father, Quincy of North Little Rock, Arkansas; children, Kimberly Comer of Comanche, Melonie West and husband, Bill of Whitney; Robert Comer of Pensacola, Florida; brother, Jim Davidson and wife, Viola of Conway, Arkansas; two aunts and an uncle; three grandchildren, Chris Moss of Penelope, Will and Kanen West of Whitney.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1700 Lake Success Dr., Waco, Texas 76710
