Norma Farquhar

Norma Farquhar, 73 of Whitney passed away on December 31, 2011.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 6, 2012 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, Texas.

Norma was born on June 12, 1938 in Crosbyton to John and Elma Wren Hamby.
She graduated from Hereford High School and from West Texas State University. Norma moved to Whitney in 1988 and was a social worker at Town Hall Estates until her retirement in 2002. She was of the Baptist faith. Norma was a beloved wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Edward Hamby; sisters, Billie Anderson and Alice Bowles.

Survivors include her husband, Troy of Whitney; children, Monty Earl Waits of Altus, OK., Lisa Rochelle Waits of Denver, CO., Kerry Adrian Waits of Mesquite; Karren June Horton of Aquilla, Vincent Wayne Farquhar of Hanford, WA., Vanessa Rene’ Flower of Lubbock, Sharla Diane Farquhar; brothers, Ronald Anderson of Austin; sisters, Robby Dabbs of Albuquerque, NM., Rae Kirkmeyer of Bridge City, Gloria Hardin of Leander, Pat Sparks of Mesa, AZ.; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
