Olga Frank

Olga Helene Frank of Whitney passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 27, at her home in Blum. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church in the Huron Community near Whitney. Burial will follow at Heath Cemetery near Whitney. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, August, 29, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Olga was born on February 26, 1919 in Memphis, TN the daughter of Gustave Andrew Johnson and Alma (Sachenbacher ) Johnson. On September 8, 1945 she married Connolly Frank in Miami, FL and he preceded her in death on October 6, 2006. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and a devoted wife and mother.

Olga was a 1938 graduate of Humes High School in Memphis, the same school attended by Elvis Presley. She worked for Southwestern Bell as a PBX operator in the 1940's, Sears and Roebuck in the 1950's, Merrill Lynch in the 1960's, and Midland Memorial Hospital in the 1970's. Olga and Connolly moved back to Whitney in 1976 and retired on their ranch near Blum, where they lived for 34 years, farming and ranching.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; grandson, Ryan Clark; and two brothers, Leroy and Theodore Johnson.

Survivors include her son, Neil Frank and wife, Glenda, of Trophy Club; daughter, Ginger Clark and husband, Walter, of Plano. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Garrett and Chelsea Frank, and Weston, Chad, and Cory Clark; and great-grandchildren, Preston, Alyssa, Michael, Taylor, Tanner, and Dylan Clark.
