Opal Kennedy

Opal Kennedy, 92, of Temple died Monday, February 6, 2006, in Temple. Opal was born December 31, 1913 in the Lakenon Community, Hill County, Texas the daughter of W. Nathan and Ima Burke Crowe. In 1932 she graduated from Abbott High School. On July 8, 1933 she married A. Ronald Kennedy. She worked in the Abbott school cafeteria, Wood of Texas, and retired from Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Her husband and one grandson preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Watson of Temple; son, J. R. Kennedy and wife, Linda, of Jonesboro; sister, Nathalie Hilliard and husband, Dan, of Bryan; seven grandchildren, Debbie Livingston and husband, Mel, and Lisa Wiggins all of Tyler, Mitzi Curnes and Nicki Kennedy both of Temple, Mike Schreiber of Belton, Mark Schreiber of Houston, and Donald Joe Kennedy and wife, Tammie, of Gatesville; Nineteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
