Ora Bobbitt

Ora Maye Stricklin Bobbitt, 96, of Hillsboro died Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. She was the daughter of Inez Stricklin and J.D. Stricklin. She had four brothers, Paul, Gilford, Don and Thomas Lee. All are deceased. She married James Lee Bobbit on December 24, 1941. He passed away October 26, 1963. During her working life, she owned and operated the Blue Bonnet Cafe and was an employee of the Hill County Tax Office and the City of Hillsboro. After retiring, she was the bookkeeper for the McGregor Law Office for a number of years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for pre-school children for 45 years. Her survivors are Son: Jim Bobbitt and wife Kristine, of Fairfax Virginia; Granddaughter: Katharine Bobbitt of Fairfax Virginia
