Orlis Penney

Orlis Wendel Penney, 68 of Whitney died on June 25, 2005 at a Waco Hospital. Orlis was the son of Robert Orlis and Beatrice Gorden Penney. A welder by profession, he owned and operated Penney's Welding Shop in Whitney for 25 years retiring in 2003. He liked to go to Shreveport to gamble and loved to watch boxing. Preceding him in death were his parents, son, Wendel Penney, previous wife and friend Betty Penney. Survivors include his wife, Carrie Duke of Whitney; brother, Bobby Penney and wife, Barbara of Lake Jackson, Tx.; sister, Pat McClure of Burleson; 3 nieces and 2 nephews.
