Orville August Loewe, 84, of Malone passed away Tuesday morning, August 29, 2017, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Pastor Mandy Brobst-Renaud of St. Peter's Lutheran Church officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 9:30-10:30 AM, on Saturday prior to the service.
Born January 18, 1933 in Hill County, he was the son of Adolph and Ida Louise (Groppe) Loewe. He grew up in Brandon where he attended school. On December 7, 1952, he was united in marriage to Patsy Degner in Malone. Following his service with the United State Army from 1955-1957, Orville began his auto mechanic career with Dobbs Pontiac Buick and later was employed with Lloyd Motor Company. From 1961-1963, he owned and operated a service station garage in Malone and was an instructor of the auto mechanics class at Hillsboro High School from 1969-1973. He was later employed as a supervisor at Harris Graphics in Grapevine, a consultant and trouble shooter for Harris Graphics in Mexico, and as a service assistant for Seraid in Hillsboro. Orville was also a delivery man for Radke Machine Shop from 1996-2003. He enjoyed fishing, playing dominos, and working on lawnmowers especially Cub Cadets. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Malone.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Eugene and Maloyde Loewe. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Patsy Loewe of Malone; three sons, Darrell Loewe and wife, Janet, of Lasalle, Ray Loewe and wife, Deena, of Gatesville, and Greg Loewe of Malone; sister, Marilyn Bates and husband, Truitt, of Pearl; five grandchildren, Tiffany Craft and husband, Joe, of Sealy, Darrell Brance “Bubba” Loewe and wife, Cody, of Vanderbilt, and Cheryl Richards and husband, Josh, Heath Loewe and wife, April, and Cody Loewe, all of Gatesville; six great-grandchildren, Cameron, Kelsey, Jacie, Brynn, Brantley, and Bailor; sister-in-law, Bonnie Joyce Loewe of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and a host of friends.
