Oscar West

Oscar West,81,of Hillsboro passed away Saturday, January 22,2011 at an Itasca Nursing Home.

There will be no scheduled service for Mr. West.

Oscar was the son of William and Cora Lee(Sledge) West. He grew up and lived most of his life in Hillsboro. After serving in the U.S. Army during WWII, Mr. West worked for the railroad awhile and then worked at the Grimes Service Station for a long time. He liked playing all kinds of games and loved being with his children and grandchildren. Oscar was a member of the Walnut St. Baptist Church in Hillsboro.

Mr. West is survived by his children, Robin Ramirez, John T. West, and Randall V. West. His grandchildren that survives him are Samuel W. West, Amanda M. West, Angel N. Fuller, Jennifer M. West, Catrina A. West, Daryl West, Geneal West, and Patricia Rios. Surviving Great-grandchildren are Jason Rios, Elijah Headley, Corbin Griffith, Trinity Griffith, Isaiah Rios and nephews, Edward West and Tommy West.
