Otho Boyd

Otho Boyd


Otho was the son of Lonzo Jasper and Birdie Ethel Harlin Boyd. He grew up in Hill County and attended school in Hillsboro. During World War II, he served his country in the U.S. Navy. After the war he returned to Hillsboro and married Lavoy Jones. The couple lived in Dallas for many years where he worked for Southern Pacific as a truck driver for 28 years. Following the death of his wife, he returned to Hillsboro in the early nineties. He was a member of the College Hill Church of Christ in Hillsboro. A talented musician, Otho Lee loved music and playing his guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lavoy; a sister - Orianna Williams; and a brother - L. J. Boyd. He is survived his sister, Mary Gonzales and husband Ben of Hillsboro and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Sunny Glen Children's Home P.O.
