Otis Hight

Otis D. Hight, 94, of Hillsboro died Monday, December 15, 2008, at Homestead Nursing and Rehabilitation in Itasca. Otis was born November 27, 1914 in Hill County, Texas, where he grew up, the son of William and Docia Mae Jean Hight. He attended school at Grub Hill. In 1935 he married Mozelle Myers and they lived many years in the Osceola community, where he farmed. After he retired from farming, they moved to Woodbury. He was an active member of Osceola Church of Christ and was a member of Farm Bureau. He enjoyed church, farming, sports, and his family and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Mozelle, on December 28, 1999; three brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include his children, Nalda Button and husband, James H., of Hillsboro and Otis Sonny Hight and wife, Wendy, of Athens; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
