Pam DeLeon, 72, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Homestead Nursing & Rehabilitation in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018, at the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney with Pastor Terry Gayle officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Born July 11, 1946, in Fort Worth, she was the daughter of Dan and Marie “Mickey” (Meek) Pierson. She grew up in Fort Worth, graduated from Carter High School in 1964, and went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts from UTA in 1968. She began her working career at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and in 1980 went to work for General Dynamics where she held a variety of positions in their graphics department until her retirement.
On September 27, 1986, Pam was united in marriage to Joe DeLeon in Fort Worth. She loved her trips to Canton, shopping for antiques, shopping in general, traveling, and horses. Young at heart, Pam was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Joe DeLeon of Hillsboro; 10 children, Joe DeLeon and wife, Kathy, of College Station, Mary Holleman and husband, David, of College Station, Chris DeLeon and wife, Mary Jane, of Somerville, Rachel Villanueva and husband, Roland, of Round Rock, Raul DeLeon and Grace of Milano, Oscar DeLeon and Linda of Snook, Holly Sosa and husband, Michael, of Fort Worth, Samantha Suttle of Fort Worth, Lauren Suttle of Dallas, and Matthew Suttle of Richmond, Virginia; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and cousins, Jean Dyer of Fort Worth and Sharon Gamblin Rowley and husband, Bob, of Willow Park.
