Pansy June “Miss June” Davis, 74, of Hillsboro passed away Monday, December 24, 2012, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 28, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 27, at the funeral home.
Pansy was born May 12, 1938 in Alpine, where she grew up, to Dell Irving and Helen (Ivey) Glenn. She graduated high school in Midland. Throughout her life, she lived in many places across the USA, and also Guam. While in Guam, she served as a girl scout leader.
Her working career included, among others, service at Goodwill Industries, 7-11 in Hillsboro where she was a manger, Disabled American Veterans organization, and later in home health care. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and being at the lake. Pansy was a strong supporter of police, fire, and veteran’s organizations. She was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and two sisters, Elizabeth Williams and Shirley Glenn.
Survivors include her five children, Debbie Waller and Joe Splinter of Aquilla, Donna Johnston of Hill County, Leo Glennon and wife, Shelley, of Valrico, FL, Arthur Glennon of Fairfield, and Johnny Land of Abbott; four grandchildren, Patrick Miller, Billy Johnston, James Johnston, and Jessie Glennon; cousin, Ricky Eason of Waco; and her chihuahua, Brittany.
