Pat Aquilone, 65, of Hurst passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. There are no services scheduled. Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro was in charge of arrangements.
Pat was born September 10, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY to Patrick Joseph and Eleanor (Cunningham) Aquilone. He grew up in Brooklyn until age 15, at which time he moved to North Jersey where he met his high school sweetheart, Glenda Ewing. They were married on February 26, 1965 in Pompton Plains, NJ and she preceded him in death on January 5, 1998 after being married for 32 years. After his wife passed away, Pat and several friends toured the continental U. S. before he settled in Texas. He recently had been working with the Corps of Engineers as a park host at Steel Creek Park on Lake Whitney. He was an avid model railroad enthusiast and was a Christian by faith. Also preceding him in death was his father.
Survivors include his mother, Eleanor Aquilone of Hurst; two sons, Patrick Aquilone and wife, Vicky, of Hurst and Bob Aquilone and wife, Ida, of Watauga; and six grandchildren, Micheal, Katie, Abby, Jason, James, and Savannah.
