We have lost a missing link to our great family, the one that kept us all in line and told us how the “cow ate the cabbage.”

Patsy Ruth Freels was born on March 5, 1929, in Waco, to Clarence and Juanita (Maddox) Brooks. Most of her life was spent in Fort Worth and Dallas where she worked at Oak Farms Dairy and for 20 years as a bookkeeper at the Parker Foundation. She loved to garden, dance and take fishing trips to the coast.

She died in her own home just as she wished. Many thanks to her three sons, and also to Michelle, Crystal and Rebecca for all their help and guidance.

Mamaw will be missed by many, but never forgotten.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include her three sons, Richard Freels and wife, Donna of Clifton, David Rogers and wife, Terri of Lone Oak and Mike Freels and wife, Carla of West; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; loving cousins, Bo and Darlene Brooks and Mike Finley; nieces and nephews and many other loving relatives and friends.
