Patricia Darlene (Harrell) Bartley

Patricia Darlene Bartley, age 53 of Whitney passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Hill Regional hospital in Hillsboro. A memorial service will be held by the family at 1:30 pm Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the Chisholm Trail Church in Rio Vista Texas, 707 CR 1208.

.Patricia was born October 15,1968 in Ventura California to Franklin Roosevelt and Lois Darlene (Smithee) Harrell. She grew up in Itasca and Abbott Texas where she graduated in 1987. Patricia was united in marriage to David Wayne Bartley in Hillsboro on June 13, 1987, and they had 34 loving years together.  She was a warrior as she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis an debilitating autoimmune disorder at the age of 24.  Patricia proceeded to work 14 years as a CNA at West Rest Haven where she loved caring for residents. She was an angel to everyone she met and was like a second mom to everyone even if they only met her one time. Patricia loved to dance, sing karaoke, play bingo, and babysit in her younger years.  Her favorite song was Free Bird by Lynard Skynard, her favorite music was country music, and her favorite artist was George Strait.  In her later years she enjoyed playing Facebook games, watching cooking shows, and food challenges.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dedra Darlene Bartley; father, Franklin Harrell; mother, Lois Harrell; sister, Debra “Punkin” Kempke; brother, Donnie Harrell; and father in law, Roy Dean Bartley.

Patricia is survived by her husband, David Bartley; son, Derek Bartley; daughter, Kara Bartley; mother in law, Kathleen Bartley, brother, Billy Harrell; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and brother and sister in laws.
