Patricia Darlene (Ivie) Chadwick took her first perfect breath in Heaven on December 25, 2024. Graveside services will take place at 1:30 PM, Monday, December 30, 2024, at Peoria Cemetery in Peoria, Texas. A visitation will be held from noon until 1:00 PM, Monday, December 30, 2024, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. Family and friends will meet at Hometown Events in Whitney immediately following the graveside service.
Pat was born on February 25, 1955, to Travis and Mildred Ivie in McKinney, TX. She attended school and lived in Hillsboro for the majority of her life. She was 69 years old.
Pat married her husband Bobby Chadwick on October 7, 1989, down an ally way before Lake Whitney's Annual Pioneer Day Street Dance- deeming her his ally cat for the next 35 years.
Pat was a hardworking woman, mother, and wife. She spent the better part of 30 years working in retail management. Many would tell you she was strong-willed and hardheaded, which is probably why she chased a thief down the road after they shoplifted from her store many years ago. She spent the latter part of her working career at Family Diagnostic Medical Center in insurance billing.
Pat loved her children, but especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren (probably more than her children depending on who you ask). She was a woman of faith and prayed for each of them every day and they knew they could always count on her to be their prayer warrior. She enjoyed watching all of their accomplishments and letting them know how proud of them she was.
She beat breast cancer at the age of thirty. For the last twelve years of her life, she fought COPD and kept her faith in God the entire time, never doubting Him, but always praising Him.
Preceded in death by her parents Travis and Mildred (Willis) Ivie; brother Burlon Ivie; sister Carolyn Sue Porter and brother-in-law Coy Porter; niece Peggy Adcock; and nephew Rodney Adcock.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Chadwick and her beloved dog Lucy; her daughters, Shelley Nelson and husband Wayne, of Hillsboro, Sheila Arnold and husband Tony, of Whitney and Crystal Sanford and husband Philip, of Whitney; grandchildren, Megan Smith, Matthew Smith, Laney Laramore and husband Mike, Sydney Molina and husband Spencer, Brooklyn Arnold, Zoey Sanford, and Zaylah Sanford; great-grandchildren, Lucy, Whitley, Noelle and Bretlyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
