Patricia Faulkner

Pat Faulkner, 72, of Whitney, passed away on July 28, 2014, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 1, 2014, at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney with Pastor Wade Yarbro officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Pat was born on December 6, 1941, in Enid, OK, to Raymond and Irene (Roberts) Patton. She grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from LVN school there. In the early 1960's, she moved to Texas to work in an Arlington hosptial. On October 17, 1964, she married Ellis Faulkner. In the 1970's they moved to Whitney and Pat worked at the Whitney Hospital for over 40 years. Reading and crocheting were pastimes she enjoyed. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Robert and Raymond Patton; sister-in-law, Karyl Vaughan; and mother-in-law and father-in-law Audrey and Ellis Faulkner, Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Ellis Faulkner, Jr. of Whitney; children, Valerie Mash of Whitney, Jeff Faulkner of Houston and Vanessa Meyer of Whitney; grandchildren, Brian Pierce, Eddie Meyer, Cameron Faulkner, Rebekah Mash, Kelli Meyer; great-grandchildren Tiergan Pierce and Koby Meyer; brother Ferris Patton of Haymarket, VA; sisters, Virginia Easton of Whitney and Cathy Bollinger of Marble Hill, MO; sisters-in-law, Sally Wilson of Whitney and Betty Ryan of Grapevine; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the cancer society of one’s choice.
