Patricia A. Jones, 67 of Hillsboro passed away at her residence on Saturday morning, November 2, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 9, at the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Robyn Young of Line Street Methodist Church officiating.
Born February 5, 1946 in Dallas, Patricia was the daughter of F. M. “Buddy” and Rose (Shramek) Aldridge. She grew up in Dallas and lived there until moving to Houston during her senior year in high school. It was there she met her future husband, Don Notte, who was serving in the Air Force. Following their marriage, the couple lived in many locations while he was in the service before settling in Hillsboro in 1982.
Patricia served as a property manager for her family’s business, Aldridge Rentals, for many years. She was a member of Line Street United Methodist Church in Hillsboro.
In her leisure time, Patricia was a devoted and knowledgeable classic movie fan, preferring the original black and white versions. She was also a very caring person, tending to both people and animals in need help. It had been her wish to help others by donation of her body to research.
Preceding her in death were her parents; step-mother, Mary Margaret Aldridge; husband, Don Notte; daughter, Kandy N. Powell; and step-brothers, Bob and Byron Adams. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Gina Padgett and husband, Charles, of Hillsboro; grandson, Russell Padgett and wife, Tabitha, of Whitney; step-sister, Barbara Hubbert and husband, Dave, of Simonton; two sisters-in-law, Cesaire Gueldner of Nevada and Belinda Notte of New Jersey; brother-in-law, Joey Gueldner of Lafayette, LA.; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family including Buster, her cat and Keystone, her dog.
