Patricia Shorts

Patricia Ann Shorts passed away on June 8, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney with Rev. Eddie Booth officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.

Patricia was born on August 14, 1958 in Quanah, Texas to Floyd and Ruby Hope. On February 10, 1977, she married the love of her life, Samuel Shorts. Patricia was a dedicated, loving and well-respected nurse since she began her nursing career in 1986. She loved her family, friends with everything she had.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Wayne; and two nephews, Matthew and Michael.

Survivors include her children, Sandra, Elizabeth, Shelley and Hunter; five grand-children, Shaleigh, Samuel, Emilee, Isiah and Leora; her siblings, Lori and husband, Lynn, Richard and wife, Roseann, Glenn, Martha and Valery; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at McAllen Heart Hospital for providing exceptional care for Patricia.
