A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney.  A graveside service will follow under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Hillcrest Burial Park in Waxahachie, Business Hwy 287, with Joey Dean and Bruce Page officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Tuesday, February, 9, 2021 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors chapel in Whitney. Face mask and social distancing are required.

Patsy was born on October 12, 1941 in Waxahachie, to Clayton and Gracie White Ford.  She was the youngest daughter in a houseful of eight kids.

Patsy attended Waxahachie schools and graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1960.  Soon after graduation she married her late husband, Raymond Smith.  They were blessed with four children.  Patsy was a wonderful Mom to Blaine (wife Cindy), Wade (wife Kris), Clay and Rheanne.  In 1994 Patsy married Ernest Don Cooper and became a fun and loving step-mom to Ricky (wife Diane) and Chris (wife Marsha).

Patsy was a very special Grandmother (MawMaw) to grandchildren, Carly Turner McGuire (husband Stephen), Stephanie Smith Ashmore (husband Mark), Jennifer Smith Harrell (husband Chris), Stephen Mikel Smith, Teri Smith Whitson (husband Russ), Reagan Smith, Garrett Smith, Courtney Dean Spitler (husband John Luke), Joey Dean (wife Allison), Laine, Remington and Ashley Westfall (husband Jason).   She was extremely proud of her great-grandchildren, Bradyn, Ian, Riley, Abby, Pyper, Harris, Alex, Avery, Allie, Annalee, Crews, Caleb, Hannah, Carson and Montgomery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her children, brothers, Gene Ford, C.B. Ford and Eddie Ford and her sisters, Ruth Stephens and Darlene Walker.

She is survived by her husband, Don; her children, step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, Billie Byerley; her brother, Bobby Ford; her sister-in-law, Brenda Ford; and numerous nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Patsy had a warm heart and always had a smile on her face.  She put others before herself and taught us that if you ever have a chance to thank anyone for something, don't hesitate because you may not have the opportunity tomorrow.  Thanks to everyone for your prayers and kind words.  God Bless.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Towash Baptist Church, 140 HCR 2129 E, Whitney, Texas 76692.
