Paul Aitken, 69, of Cleburne died Monday, August 30, 2010, at his residence. Paul was born May 5, 1941 in Stoneham, MA the son of Paul Joseph and Janice Grant Arey Aitken. He grew up in Quincy, MA, where he attended schools. Shortly after high school, he enlisted in the U. S. Army and served in Germany. Following his honorable discharge from Fort Hood, he made his home in Central Texas. On February 1, 1974 he married Jane Edmonds in Bynum and they resided in Hillsboro the majority of their time together. She preceded him in death on February 19, 2008. For many years he owned and operated Ace Nut and Bolt Company. Paul enjoyed working more than anything else. He was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Also preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers, Dennis Aitken, Richard Aitken, and David Lydon. Survivors include five children, Kevin Aitken of Roanoke, VA, Donna Jean Crunk and husband, Bruce, of Crawford, Paul J. Aitken and wife, Ida, of Burleson, Laurie Mach of Tonkawa, OK, and Jacky Aitken and wife, Jamie, of Whitney; brother, Pete Aitken and wife, Ginny, of Braintree, MA; sister, Andrea Derringer and husband, Joe, of Hanover, MA; seven grandchildren, Nolan Crunk, D. J. Crunk, Jay Aitken, C. J. Aitken, Megan Aitken, Raegan Mach, and Matthew Mach; two great-grandsons, Braden Crunk and Ryan Horton; and a cousin, Ray Aitken of San Diego, CA.
