Paul Dietiker , Jr

Paul Dietiker, Jr., of Whitney, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Whitney Memorial Park, with Reverend Joe Bob Boyd officiating . Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Paul was born on April 6, 1934, in Clifton, to the late Paul Henry and Sybil (Findley) Dietiker. He grew up in Clifton and graduated from Clifton High School with the assisted guidance of his Aunt Eda. On September 20, 1952, he married Geneva Fulton and she preceded him in death on November 26, 2001. Cooking, woodworking, and music were hobbies he enjoyed. He built houses as well as maintaining other structures. Having served his country in the National Guard, Paul was a member of the Whitney American Legion #522.

Preceding him in death were his grandson, Timothy Wilson; great-granddaughter, Emily Rose Heath; a brother, Eugene Dietiker and a sister, Elizabeth Grimland.

Survivors include his children, Cathy Winters, Glenn Dietiker, Connie Heath and husband, Preston, Cindy Fisher and Ricky Dietiker, all of Whitney; brother Danny Dietiker of Clifton; two sisters, Helen Conrad and Linda Hamm, both of Arlington; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1700 Lake Success Dr., Waco, TX 76710 or to the charity of one’s choice.
