Paul A. Lewis, 86, of Hillsboro died Monday, February 12, 2007, at Hill Regional Hospital. Paul was born April 27, 1920 in Hubbard, Texas the son of Henry Thomas and Una Caroline Washer Lewis. He grew up and farmed in Limestone County and went to Callina School. During WWII he served in the U. S. Army in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign. On April 3, 1948 he married Louise Sherrill. They moved to Hillsboro where he owned and operated Lewis Garage from 1955 to 1982 and was a cattleman in the Woodbury area. He was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Hillsboro, VFW Post #8571 in Whitney, and First Cavalry Division Association. Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers, and one sister. Survivors include his wife, Louise Lewis of Hillsboro, son, Randall Lewis and Constance Lewis of Hillsboro; brother, Barnes Lewis of Granbury; sister, Mary Evelyn Nelson of Peoria; two grandsons, Brian Lewis of Waco and Brandon Lewis and wife, Kelly, of Fairfield; three great-granddaughters, Jordan and Jadan Lewis of Hillsboro and Paisley Lewis of Fairfield.
