Paula Stringer

Paula Kay Stringer, 70, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday morning November 29, 2017, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, at the funeral home.

Born June 7, 1947 in Hillsboro, she was the daughter of O. B. and Linnie Katherine (Malone) Stringer. A 1965 graduate of Hillsboro High School, Paula received her B. A. in education with a teaching degree in English from Texas Woman’s University. For 5 years, she taught the 7th grade at Hillsboro Junior High. Paula was a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro and President of the Optimist Club at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home.

Preceding her in death were her parents and sister, Kathleen Jander.

Survivors include her brother, Granville Stringer and wife, Benay, of Bellville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
