Pauline Salais, 79, of Waco, formerly of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Royal Manor Nursing Home in Waco. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Father Ouseph I. Thekkumthala officiating. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro.
Pauline was born April 21, 1933 in La Pryor, TX to Jesus and Josefina (Lopez) Hernandez. For many years she was a seamstress at Town Square Furniture and a private sitter at Town Hall Estates both in Hillsboro. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro.
Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, Jesse Salais, in 2002.
Survivors include her children, Max Salais of Bynum and Christine Bradley and husband, Mike, of Lorena; two brothers, Jesse Hernandez and Frank Hernandez and wife, Andrea, all of Hillsboro; four sisters, Andrea Rodriguez of Hillsboro, Pat Perez and husband, Alex, of Hillsboro, Francis Cavazos and husband, Rudy, of Plainview, and Alvina Granado and husband, Fino, of Uvalde; six grandchildren, Breanna Salais, Naeomi Salais, Nathan Rodriguez, Jonathan Bradley, Joshua Bradley, Lindsey Bradley; several nieces and nephews; and a good friend, Corneilo Gatica of Waco.
