Pedro Saldierna

Pedro Saldierna, 83, of Itasca passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at home in Itasca. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July, 25, 2020, at Itasca Cemetery with Father Ouseph Thekkumthala officiating. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. Mr. Saldierna will lie in state from 9:00 a.m until 9:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, at the funeral home.

Pedro was born January 4, 1937 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Casemiro Saldierna and Teodora Perez. He was united in marriage to Ernestina Castillo in 1955. Pedro worked for Universal Forest Products as a saw operator in Grandview, Texas for 15 years. He was a member of the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro.

Pedro was survived by his wife, Ernestina Saldierna; children, Patricio Saldierna (Yolanda), Emiliano Saldierna, Casemiro Saldierna (Maria), Maria Isabel Castillo (Lorenzo), Noe Saldierna, Rene Saldierna (Patricia), Griselda Chavez (Jesus); 5 sisters, Avelino, Eligio, Eleuteria, Victoria and Zira; grandchildren, Patrick, Allyson, Victoria, Emiliano, Jonathan, Abigail, Joselyn, Alma, Herlinda, Robert, Zuelema, Pedro, Ricky. Noe,Jr., Noelia, Napoleon, Rene,Jr., Charlene, Anthony, Elizabeth, Laura, Leticia, Gicel and Julian; and several great grandchildren.
