Peggy Brockette

Peggy (Bratcher) Brockette, 88, of Temple, Texas, passed Thursday, January 30, 2025, in Temple. Graveside services will take place at 11:00 am, Monday, February 3, 2025, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am, Monday, February 3, 2025, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Peggy was born January 23, 1937, in Bynum, Texas, to James Fletcher and Hazel (Smith) Bratcher. She was united in marriage to Alvis Lewis Brockette on November 11, 1955. Peggy and Alvis lived in Hillsboro before moving to Temple, Texas in 1963. She retired after many years of service for Texas Soil and Water Conservation. An avid shopper, Peggy enjoyed being on the go, gardening and checking on their farm.

Preceded in death by her parents, James and Hazel; and her husband, Alvis, Peggy is survived by her children, Debbie Brockette, Alvis Brockette, Jr. (Lorna); four grandchildren, Chase Sparks (Kandace), Christopher Sparks (Brittnie), Ashley Zustovich (Peter), and Amanda Baros (Phillip); and ten great-grandchildren, Hunter, Parker, Taytum, Sage, Cross, Ryen, Bo, Prestyn, Alyee and Elizabeth.
