Perry was born in Horatio, AR to the late William Andrew Beauchamp and Dixie Gore Beauchamp. At an early age he moved to Baytown, TX where he resided for over 65 years. He worked his entire career for Exxon becoming manager of their refining computing center in Houston and serving an assignment in Saudi Arabia. After retiring as Client Advocate of Accounting Computer Services in 1986, he remained active in the Optimist Club for many years and was named a Life Member.
Always a sports enthusiast, Perry played national-level fast-pitch softball for many years with Houston and Baytown teams and also became an avid golfer. Though his accomplishments were many, he is most remembered as a devoted husband, a caring father and mentor to his children, the best PawPaw to his grandchildren, and unconditional friend to so many. He was a leader by example and always found a way to make you feel better about yourself. He especially enjoyed coaching little league, teenage baseball teams, pee-wee football teams, and St. Joseph football and basketball teams.
Perry is survived by his beautiful bride of 59 years, Dolores; five children, Alan, Lee, Gray, Perry Jr. (Sam), and Bill; four daughters-in-law, Jackie, Karen, Jan, and Kelly Beauchamp; one son-in-law, Francis Harper; thirteen grandchildren, Jason and Katie Burgess, Lisa Beauchamp, Adam Gonzalez, John William Beauchamp, Jennifer Beauchamp, Brian Beauchamp, Kevin and Claire Giles, Matt and Kim Murillo, and Dax and Jennifer Murillo; and five great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Burgess, Layla Beauchamp-Gonzalez, Jade Murillo, Jacob Murillo, and Jonathan Murillo.
