Perry Easter

Perry Easter, 66, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM., Monday, April 21, 2014, at Prairie Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Booth and Rev. Rusty Penney officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Perry was born on October 20, 1947, in Graham, to Clifford Thurman and Lorene (Skipper) Easter. On September 13, 1969, he married Betty Lovell at White Settlement.

A very faithful and active member of Prairie Valley Baptist Church in Whitney, he loved his family and his church family unconditionally. An avid baker and fisherman, he also enjoyed working with his tractor, traveling and singing. In 2007, after 20 years of service, he retired from Brookshires Grocery Company where he had served as a bakery manager.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Easter and one brother, Jerry Easter.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Easter of Whitney; mother Lorene Easter of Jacksboro; children, Melissa Easter Marbut and husband, Troy of Whitney and Melinda Easter Nelson and husband, V.J., of Wichita Falls; brother Richard Easter and wife, Audra of Jacksboro; sister Nancy Armstrong and husband, Bill, of Bryson; sister-in-law, Rhonda Easter of Wolfforth; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jackie and Mildred Larance of Whitney; grandchildren, Christopher Marbut of Whitney and Samantha Nelson and Ahrens Nelson of Wichita Falls.
