Petra Rea

Petra Rea, 86, of Hillsboro passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012, in a Waco hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 21, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro with Father Ouseph I. Thekkumthala officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 20, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Petra was born May 29, 1926 in San Ysidro, Lagunillas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, daughter of Eleuterio Olvera and Narcisa Almazan. She lived in Mexico most of her life until moving to Hillsboro in 2000. She loved to cook for her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Felix Rea on August 27, 1999; one sister; and one brother.

Survivors include her eight children, Onecima Rea de Guerrero and husband, Manuel, of Mexico, Raul Rea and wife, Luisa, of Dallas, Esteban Rea and wife, Juana, of Mexico, Luisa Rea de Ramirez and husband, Alfonso, of Hillsboro, Candelario Rea and wife, Alejandra, of Hillsboro, Felipa Rea de Perez and husband, Carmelo, of Hillsboro, Ciriaco Rea and wife, Catalina, of Blum, and Julia Rea of Hillsboro; 45 grandchildren; 86 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
