Phyllis Jean Janes Long, 58, of Frankston, Texas, died Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at East Texas Medical Center in Jacksonville, Texas. Phyllis was born August 28, 1947 in Borger, Texas the daughter of Thomas Alvin and Dorothy Murle Leggett Janes... She was raised in the Union Bluff Community and graduated from Hillsboro High School. On September 24, 1979 she married Larry Long in Dallas, Texas. She had lived in Dallas for 14 years and also in Rosenburg for 14 years. For the past 11 years, Phyllis lived in Frankston. For 37 years she worked as a nurse, retiring in 1996. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Frankston. Preceding her in death was her father in November of 1983. Survivors include her husband, Larry Long of Frankston; mother, Dorothy Hester of Hillsboro; brother, Kenneth Janes of Hillsboro; sister, Shirley Sandy of Frankston; step-children, Clifford Long of Fort Leanord Wood, Missiouri and Lisa Blum of King City, Missiouri; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
