R. A. Johnson

R. A. was born February 10, 1916 in the Yates Community of Hill County, Texas to Jim and Stella Watson Johnson. He grew up and attended school in the Yates Community and later moved to Bynum where he worked on the family farm. He spent most of this life in Carlsbad where he lived and worked in the San Angelo State School. Preceding him in death where his parents; two brothers, Hugh Johnson and Maurice Johnson; and three sisters, Jewel McNeely, Ruth Johnson, and Lucille Chapman. He was of the Nazarene faith. Survivors include two brothers, Jackie J. Johnson of Itasca and Fred Johnson and wife, Nita, of Peoria; two sisters, Verna Lawhon of Hillsboro and Frances Craig and husband, Maurice, of Hillsboro; one sister-in-law, Lillie Johnson of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
