Ramona Jimenez

Ramona Aguilera Jimenez, 99, of Abbott, died Sunday, October 9, 2005, in a Fort Worth nursing home. Ramona was born July 14, 1906 in Mexico the daughter of Jesus and Maria Ralla Aguilera. On January 18, 1929 she married Cirilo E. Jimenez and he preceded her in death on December 18, 1978. A caregiver to her whole family, Ramona liked cooking for her family. She enjoyed traveling, going out in the boat and fishing, gardening, crocheting, quilting and making sweet potato pies at Christmas time. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Jessie Joe Jimenez; one sister; and two brothers. Survivors include five children, Fred Jimenez and wife, Lupe, of Fort Worth, Lucille J. Higgins and husband, Skip, of Heathsville, Virginia, Ramona J. Koscica of Fort Worth, John G. Jimenez and wife, Patricia, of Abbott, and Armando Jimenez of Fort Worth; a brother, Joe Aguilera of Fort Worth; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
