Raymond D Arellano age 60 of Itasca, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Hilco Event Center in Itasca. Burial will follow at Itasca Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Raymond was born March 24, 1960, in Smithville, Texas to Albert Rodriguez Arellano and Mercedez Dominguez Arellano. They moved from Smithville to Itasca in 1962. He grew up in Itasca, Texas where he eventually met the love of his life Bonnie Lara. Raymond practiced martial arts for over 25 years. He was known for being the backhoe operator for the City of Itasca, but he worked for multiple different cities for 30 years. Raymond bought his first horse when he was 16 years old and fell in love with livestock. He was always teaching his family new skills. His family brought him so much joy, he enjoyed spending a lot of time with them. Raymond was always lending a hand and giving whatever he had just to help someone out. You knew you could always count on him.
Preceding him in death are his parents, his brother Jimmy Arellano, his son David Arellano, his daughter Brandi Nicole Arellano, and his grandchildren Alaysia Arellano and Jayla Marshall.
Survivors include his life partner Bonnie Lara; children Raymond Joe Arellano, Wayne Louis Arellano, Kandi Jaco-McCraig, KC Arellano, and Amanda Arellano; his step children Megan Demerson, Gabrielle Bell, Brittany Bell, Damion Bell, and Brandon Bell; brothers Tony Arellano, Albert Arellano, Freddie Arellano, and Frank Arellano; sisters Mercedes Arellano and Sally Choate; grandchildren Reyanna Vasquez, Alexis Arellano, Jr. Arellano, Hayleigh Arellano, Wayne Louis Arellano Jr., Kenzlie Arellano, Isaac Benavides, Andrew Arellano, David Arellano Jr., Alyssa Arellano, Jesse Arellano, John Wayne Arellano, Kamryn Jaco, Kyra Jaco, Kynsly McCaig, Noah Arellano, Olivia Salazar, Serenity Mozon, Zayne Mozon, Emery Mozon, Sora-Grace Bell, Jaliegha Marshall, Delilah Bell, Aaliyah Bell, and Aalijah Bell; great-grandchilderen Kaysen Arellano and Kamilla Arellano.
