Raymond Lowe, 64, of Whitney, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at his residence. The family will hold a graveside memorial service at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery near Laguna Park.

Raymond was born on May 17, 1950, in St. Petersburg, Florida, to Lucian and Dorothy (Mansfield) Lowe. He grew up in Jacksonville and at the age of 17, he joined the U.S. Army and served two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. On January 27, 1996, he married Robbie. He loved to be around water and boating, gardening and taking care of his rose bushes. He was a member of Open Range Cowboy Church and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Donald Lowe, Robert Lowe and Ernest Lowe.


He is survived by his wife; sons, Robert “Robbie” Lowe and wife Mary and Bryan Lowe, all of Jacksonville, Florida; step-children, Donna Ann Jamison of Houston and William Lewis and wife, Megan of Castle Rock, Colorado; brothers, Warren Lowe of Wray, Georgia and Fred Alexander of Jacksonville, Florida; an aunt, Helen Taylor of Ocala, Florida; and grandchildren, Holden, Justin, Mason, Alyce, Destini, Davin and Paxton.
