Raymond Mark Schmitt, born on November 9, 1942, in Passaic, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 81 years old.

Raymond is survived by his devoted wife, Eglina Schmitt; his son, Ryan Schmitt, and his wife, Jill, along with their three daughters, Miller, Emory, and Hays; and his daughter, Kay Hawkins, and her husband, Dan, with their two sons, James and Shawn.

Raymond's life journey took him from New Jersey to various cherished locations, including Puerto Rico, Orange Park, Florida, Marion, Montana, and finally, splitting time between Montana and Hillsboro, Texas. Among these, Montana held a special place in his heart, embodying his love for the West. While in Hillsboro, they resided in the North Texas Airstream Community, where they cherished time on the road or at the park with their fellow Airstream friends.

Professionally, Raymond was a dedicated accountant who spent his entire career at The Frank A. McBride Company. His loyalty, commitment and expertise were well-respected by colleagues and clients alike. Raymond loved contributing his professional skills to the numerous organizations where he enjoyed is passions.

Raymond had a passion for adventure and enjoyed traveling across the country with his wife, Eglina, in their Airstream trailer. He was also an enthusiastic competitive shooter and cherished the moments spent with his children and grandchildren.

Raymond's legacy of love, dedication, and adventure will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who know him.

A private memorial service will be held to honor Raymond's life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Raymond's memory.
