Reba Underwood

Reba L. Underwood, 85, of Whitney died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Town Hall Estates in Whitney. Reba was born March 4, 1925 in Ellis County the daughter of Wesley W. and Flora Belk Mitchell. On July 4, 1942 she married Roy L. Underwood in Italy. She was a lifetime master judge for gardening shows all over the state of Texas. In 1983, she retired as a bookkeeper and co-owner of Underwoods Furniture in Lancaster and moved to Whitney. She was very active with PTA in the school system. She was of the Methodist faith. Preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers, and three sisters. Survivors include her husband, Roy L. Underwood of Whitney; son, Randy L. Underwood of Whitney; brother, George W. Mitchell of Garland; grandson, Rustin L. Underwood of Whitney; granddaughter, Rebecca Suzanne Reynolds of Whitney; and great-grandson, Kadyn Luke Reynolds of Tokio.
