Rebecca Jean

Rebecca Hope Jean, 58, of Covington passed away Monday, November 9, 2015, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Covington Cemetery in Covington with Mr. Barry Pritchard of Covington Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Rebecca was born December 11, 1956 in Whitney to James and Dorothy (Boyd) Nix. On November 21, 1990, she was united in marriage to Gary Jean. A very family oriented person, she was always in charge of her family. Spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her great joy. She also enjoyed arts and crafts and crocheting. She was a member of Covington Church of Christ in Covington.

Preceding her in death was her father.

Survivors include her husband 24 years, Gary Jean of Covington; mother, Dorothy Nix of Grandview; five children, Tracey Hofsiss and husband, Duane, of Sunset, Amanda Graves and husband, Corey, of Tyler, Hannah Jean of Covington, Pamela Choate and husband, Chuck, of Cuero, and Liana York and husband, Jason, of San Antonio; two brothers, Richard Nix and wife, Priscilla, of Cleburne and Harlan Nix and wife, Debbie, of Covington; sister, Kathy Fisher and husband, Michael, of Covington; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and extended family, LaDonna Upton-Burns and John Upton of Pennsylvania.
