Refugio Carmona, 61, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Refugio was born June 12, 1949 in Ojuelo, Mexico the son of Antonio and Brigida Montanez Carmona. He grew up in Mexico and moved to Hillsboro in 1973. For 20 years, he worked for Town Square Furniture and for the last 5 years, until his death, for Hillsboro ISD. He also did lawn maintenance for 39 years in the Hillsboro area. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister. Survivors include his wife, Maria Carmona of Hillsboro; 12 children, Ernestina Carmona of Waco, Mark Carmona and wife, Haley, of Hillsboro, Irene Holguin and husband, Hector, of Aurora, CO, Brigida Ramirez and husband, Jesus, of Aurora, CO, Elisa Carmona of Hillsboro, Clara Carmona of Colorado Springs, CO, Patricia Carmona of Hillsboro, Virginia Carmona of Hillsboro, Jose Carmona of Hillsboro, Vicente Carmona of Hillsboro, Ignacio Carmona of Hillsboro, and Nicholas Carmona of Hillsboro; five brothers and five sisters; ten grandchildren, Christopher Warren, Desiree Handy, Serena Ramirez, Evelyn Carmona, Zero Aguilar, Alex Dominguez, Tatiana Holguin, Xander Carmona, Marissa Carmona, and Mark Carmona, III.
